Nelson Fordice (Ford) Scribner died at his home in Russellville, Wednesday after a long illness. He was a contractor and built many of the three-mile gravel roads in this locality. He is survived by his widow who was Jessie Whitson, two daughters, Helen at home and Mrs. HB Malcolm of Chicago; and one son, Loyd. A second son, Carl was killed in the World War. -- kbz

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Russellville Christian church for Nelson F. Scribner, 75, well known Russellville man, who died Wednesday morning. He had been ill over a year. Mr. Scribner was a member of the Russellville Masonic lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and Knights of Pythias and the Russellville Christian church. Survivors include the widow, two daughters, a son, a sister, four brothers and a grandson. Another son Carl W. Scribner was killed in action in France during the World war. The funeral services wil be in charge of Rev. Davis of Brownsburg and Rev. Harting of Russellville.
